Frequently Asked Questions
Mosquito & Tick Control Services
What time of day do you typically spray?
We know that the best time to spray is any day the sun is shining, it’s over 65 degrees and the forecast is rain-free for the next ten hours.
Do I have to be home when you stop by to spray my yard?
No, typically we don’t talk with the homeowners when we are there treating your yard. Most of the time people are at work.
Will all the mosquitoes and ticks on my property be dead after Granite City Mosquito Control has been here?
We wish. No service is 100% protection. What you can expect is a giant reduction in the presence of mosquitos and ticks. Since you can’t control your neighbor’s property, those mosquitos and ticks may travel into your yard. If you don’t experience a reduction in mosquitos and ticks, let us know.
Do mosquitoes really fly one to three miles?
Unfortunately, they do. Almost no home or yard is able to avoid a mosquito and tick presence.
Does mosquito fogging really only work for about two to three days?
Yes, the mosquito foggers you can buy at retail stores are somewhat effective, they are only a short term solution for keeping the mosquitos away. Granite City Mosquito Control spraying lasts up to three weeks at a time.
Does Granite City Mosquito Control service commercial accounts?
We definitely do. We gladly serve businesses, organizations, municipalities, and government agencies.
We service restaurants with outdoor seating, parks, recreational facilities, baseball fields, soccer fields, and many other outdoor spaces.
How will I know that Granite City Mosquito Control is coming?
We reach out to the client a day in advance to let to know we will be treating their yard, location, or event.
I have an outdoor event coming up; can I get a one-time treatment?
Yes, we know how important your outdoor events are. Don’t let the mosquitos scare off your friends and family. Some examples of events: Weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, anniversary parties, and many more. Event treatments are done prior to your event and remain active even if it rains.
